Future PLC, an online publisher, has consistently been at the forefront of implementing new technology to enhance business processes and better serve our audience. The use of Kubernetes as our main tool for scaling up our hybrid infrastructure, which comprises both cloud-based and datacenter-based resources, is one of the most significant improvements we've undertaken in recent years.
Kubernetes is an open-source container orchestration solution that simplifies the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications for those who are inexperienced. Basically, it enables us to manage and extend our infrastructure more effectively and affordably.
Our hybrid architecture before using Kubernetes was made up of a combination of on-premise datacenters and cloud-based resources like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure.
This posed a number of difficulties for us because we had to grow and manage our resources manually across many platforms, which took time and was prone to mistakes.
By automating the deployment and scaling of our applications across our hybrid infrastructure, we were able to optimize our operations after adopting Kubernetes. This freed us up from having to spend time managing the infrastructure and allowed us to concentrate on creating new services and enhancing our content offerings.
The ability of Kubernetes to autonomously scale resources based on demand is one of its main advantages. This was crucial for us as an online publisher because the popularity of our content can have a big impact on our visitors.
By using Kubernetes, we were able to automatically scale our resources up or down as needed, ensuring that our audience always had access to our content, regardless of how busy our site was.
We were able to quickly deploy and grow our apps on cloud-based resources by using Kubernetes. As a result, we were able to lower our overall spending and devote more money to creating new features and enhancing our content selection.
Overall, Future PLC has changed drastically since using Kubernetes. Our hybrid infrastructure's deployment and scaling have been automated, which has allowed us to streamline our processes and provide better service to our audience. As we develop and grow as an online publication, we're thrilled to continue utilizing the power of Kubernetes.
